This is TheContestBlogger.

Why did I start this site?

I shall be honest here. The creation of this site is motivated by my desire to win great prizes from contest organizers. I will not only be blogging about online contests, but also other real life contests which are easy to join and do not require the participants to spend money to qualify. On some occasions, I might also blog about some freebies which are easy to claim, online or offline. Freebies aren’t exactly what this blog is about but who doesn’t like free things, right?

Are the prizes on offer so attractive to justify setting up a blog about contests?

Yes, the prizes are indeed very attractive. Laptops, iPods and cash prizes have been given away, in fact a friend of my is now waiting for his iPod touch which he won in a contest in April 2008. Personally, I have been quite lucky as well, I only started participating in online contests about 3 months ago and I have won several contests, the total value of the prizes is probably enough to pay for 10 dot com domains. I plan to join even more contests in the coming months and prefer not to litter my other blog with too many contest posts. Hence I decide to buy a proper domain and build a professional blog about contests, it is but a small investment.

What do I aim to achieve with this site?

Through this site, I would like to be able to participate in as many contests as I like, without any restrictions whatsoever. I feel having a blog dedicated to contest is more appropriate than me trying to slip in contest posts stealthily on my other blogs dealing with other niches. Therefore, it is my aim to be able to participate unashamedly in as many contests as I want and at the same time share with other web users information about great contests which they could join and win attractive prizes, if they want.

I hope this blog will be a one stop-centre for all kinds of contests and freebies. Forums will be added if this blog turns out to be popular among web users.
